You may cancel your appointment at any time with no penalty. As a courtesy, please allow a minimum of 12 hours notice to allow others to schedule an appointment in your place. Waiver Information The new PKC 21 software version, developed by Chevalier in collaboration with FOA, is exclusively available to FOA members and offers a wide range of improvements for vehicle owners, especially when used in conjunction with the Oceanlink Pro member app. Like the approximately three-minute process of installing it on the Ocean, it has been extensively tested in accordance with industry standards. Nevertheless, individual problems cannot be completely ruled out, which is why this disclaimer must be signed by each owner in advance. The flashing of the PKC module required for the update is carried out free of charge by FOA volunteers at meetups and is provided “as is” without warranty. Neither the FOA nor the respective volunteer provides any guarantee for the success of the programming in terms of effectiveness, quality, or functionality, and there is no express or implied warranty for the programming of the PKC. You expressly agree to this by signing. The volunteers who perform this programming and the FOA assume no responsibility or liability for any immediate or future damage to the vehicle, its components, or the functionality of the keys. Flashing is performed as a courtesy and is not based on any (contractual) agreement. By agreeing to have your PKC updated in your vehicle by an FOA volunteer, you acknowledge and accept that they or the FOA are not liable for any damage, malfunction, or loss, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may result from the flashing. You hereby expressly accept all risks associated with the service and declare that you alone are responsible for any costs that may arise, as it cannot be completely ruled out that your vehicle may become inoperable in the event of a defect (the cost of replacing the PKC module and labor costs may exceed $2,000, plus towing costs). You understand that this service is provided without warranty or liability on the part of the volunteers.
